Trapped Emotions: What are they?

In all three modalities—the Emotion Code, the Body Code, and the Belief Code—we find trapped emotions associated with physical, mental or emotional imbalances or misalignments. We usually find them at the bottom, as we dive deep into associations. They are often the root cause that started the deviation from the natural equilibrium state. But what are trapped emotions, and how do they take residence in our bodies? I think the best way to understand the mechanics is to embark on a little journey.

Imagine you went on a long-overdue holiday. Yesterday you arrived at your destination, and this morning you started exploring the new city. You haven't been here before. Everything is new—new smells, new sounds, a different language spoken around. You found a bakery on Google Maps 10 minutes away, and this is where you are going. It is going to be a beautiful day. As you walk, you absorb everything through your senses. I mean, everything. Some "images" are consciously captured by your senses, like this funky-looking store selling running shoes, or the elegantly dressed gentleman on a scooter, zig-zagging through the traffic—a cigarette hanging from his lips. But the majority of the scenery is not consciously registered, even though everything comes in. Only a few selected pieces stay. Your eyes, your ears, and your nose convert all the data so your mind can render the scene on your mind screen. Michael Singer, in his best-selling book, The Untethered Soul, writes: "When you take in the world through your senses, it is actually the energy that is coming into your being. Form itself does not come into your mind or heart. Form stays outside, but it is processed by your senses into energy patterns that your mind and heart can receive and experience."

The bakery should be just around the corner - in two more minutes, you will taste the pastries people wrote about. You can hardly wait. You step off the curb to cross the street, and suddenly you hear a loud bang - a car accident almost in front of you. Everyone stops watching the scene. One of the drivers jumped out, furious, and approached the other vehicle. Through the open window, Freddie Mercury's Bohemian Rhapsody blasts out. The other driver slowly opens the door. He is a big guy. His demeanour sends a clear message: do not mess with me. Someone pushed you, and before you know it, you are in the middle of a fist fight. Someone shouts, there is some blood... it is getting ugly. Run, you need to run away from this.

The overwhelming fear and lack of control take over your body. The bakery, vacations, the sun - all of it is gone, overshadowed by this uneasy experience. Run, but you can't. You are frozen. Paralyzed. Suddenly, you are transported to a long-forgotten scene. A scene that you subconsciously pushed away from memory. You were 5 years old, walking with your mother to meet her friend. She told you, "Wait for me, I will go and buy us something to eat, the bakery is packed, so wait outside, please." So you waited, and waited - it was taking a long time. There was a boy about your age, feeding two pigeons, right at the curb of the street. Before you know it, you were standing beside him, looking at the birds. And then it happened - a scooter drove very fast, and one of the pigeons took off right in front of the scooter. Its driver abruptly turned towards the incoming traffic. The rest was a blur. Shouting, a crowd of people pushed you forward. Fear. Terror. Where is my mother? I am alone, I can't see her. The red colour of blood on the pavement. Overturend scooter, its front wheel still spinning. Run, run from this place. Paralyzed, you stayed until your mother, with a terrified look on her face, found you. She is very angry. "I told you to wait outside," she shouts as she grabs your arm.

Fear, Anxiety, Guilt, Worry, Failure, Shock. So many emotions, we can't process them all at once. So they are stuck in the body, only to light up when we encounter a similar emotion or frequency. Anything can bring up the memory - a smell, a sound, like Freddie Mercury's Bohemian Rhapsody. Every time you hear it, the accident comes to life. It is all based on associations. It is how we become allergic. And it doesn't stop there. We add new trapped emotions as we face new experiences, adding to an elaborate network of associations, imbalances or misalignments. Before we know it, those are programmed into our personalities, and we see the world through fear-tinted glasses. The body never forgets.

Listen to Dr. Bradly Nelson, the creator of the Emotion Code, the Body Code and the Belief Code, explaining the process of how trapped emotions enter the body and what we can do about that.

Hearing, even Dr. Brad, and reading are one thing, but experiencing the incredible intelligence of your subconscious mind is something totally different. It is a leap to consider that the physical discomforts, pain, inflammation, or any other symptom is a form of communication - your subconscious mind is reaching out, but regretably, too often, nobody listens. Underneath physical, emotional or mental problems, trapped emotions wait to be acknowledged and released. They are the root cause, not the symptom, which we try to mask with whatever the modern world offers. But there is a very elegant way forward. With the help of the Emotion Code, the Body Code, and the Belief Code, we can leave behind the emotional baggage. Curious? Well, book a free consultation, and I will show you how it works.
